Fama, ¡a bailar! is a Spanish television talent show, focused on a dance academy.
It’s time to create new memories
Cuatro’s legendary format needed a completely disruptive approach in order to land on a new on-demand TV channel. Starting from scratch, we began to question the key reason for the existence of the show; a talent program about a dance school. The proposal was a pioneering one in the entertainment genre; leaving behind television sets and props to place our school in a real location, with personality. A place that evoked the art and dance schools of New York. It didn’t have to be only imagined. It had to be found.
The abandoned factory
A radical different concept in a talent show where people live together. The use of an abandoned industrial building transformed into a dance school. Natural light as the only source of light during rehearsals. A dramatic transformation during the night, marked by a spectacular light design that created a new universe.
A complex and carefully designed production of 12 live hours, video clips, and daily live galas, which, boosted with cinematographic cameras, gave this format a unique personality and style, maintaining its position as a landmark in the genre.
